Description of After Picasso
My own version of Picasso’s woman. This painting has several 3-D items attached to the canvas. The hair was worked in rope and then painted in a medium green shade. The necklace features gold metal rings with orange glass centers. There are several areas covered in burlap and then painted in dark red and ochre. Orange slices with glass beads on the center can be seen on the lady’s breasts. And there are two areas one in the face and the other one in the lower right side covered in sand paper and painted orange.
The frame is a deep two inch dark wood molding which makes a stunning contrast with the colorful piece.
