Description of La Comparsa

A very colorful painting of a group of people dancing a conga. The three women are dressed in colorful yellow, teal and red fancy dresses and they are wearing unique hats. There are two men, one is dress in white, with the typical conga shirt and red scarfs . The other one is also wearing a red scarf and white shirt. He is holding the farola, which is a typical lantern used by comparsas in carnival. The farola has an embellishment at the top, matching the color of the ladies dresses and is done employing a mosaic technique using mirror fragments that capture the light to dazzling effect..
