Yellow Bouquet

‘SOLD’ Textured background in shades of ochre and yellow. Dark brown vase and stems worked in heavy Gesso to create a bas-relief effect that makes them stand out from the background. The yellow flowers from Thailand and are made from a type of fast-growing water reed known as Sola wood. The wood is notable for it’s light weight and the ease with which it can be carved or sculpted. The three large flowers and two branches with smaller semi-open flowers are attached to the painting.
